1/11/2024 0 Comments 7 days to die base blueprint makerBandages, food, drink, armor and a few weapons and ammo. Wherever your bed is, make sure it's behind a closed door with a chest including whatever basic materials you may need after a respawn. It's also good to have what I call an "oh shit" room. It's best to have storage off of the bottom floor of the house to prevent any of it getting destroyed if a horde makes it through the wall, getting upstairs is 1 more layer of defense you can use. I make several ramps going up the inside of the exterior wall right where the wall meets the bridge to the house. I always build several bridges from the second floor of the house to the exterior wall in order to make all sides accessible from anywhere inside the house. Concrete half-slabs work well but metal trussing is probably better because you see down through it and shoot mobs on the wall while standing on it(be careful it doesn't break while standing on it though). The wall is usually 4-5 blocks high with a lip of some sort on the outer edge to prevent spiders from getting over. A few layers of spikes around it with barb wire at 2-3 spaces out from the wall to slow them so you can pop shots just before they are within melee distance of the wall. Construct an exterior wall(no doors) with room inside for farming and reinforcing it as needed as the weeks progress. I either find an isolated cabin somewhere or build a basic box house with 2 floors. Don't have any decent screenshots so I'll try to describe it. I have a design that I tend to build every time and have been improving upon every time I build it. And during the day i go up the surface to clear out the zombies. so far only the occasional zombie is smart enough to figure out the ramp. I usually try to build my bunker as close to one of those poi's with the flooded basements as a water source. The bunker itself is carved into the back side of the farm. The back wall of which overlooks the underground farm. It opens up into a 15 x 15 block chamber which serves as the garage and minibike storage. My entrance is a 3 block wide ramp that descends 10 blocks below the top of the stone layer. They cost alot less time and materials for upkeep as hordes never even damage them and you can create much larger rooms without fear of collapse. Since my friends play sporadically at best and i end up spending most of my time running solo I have transitioned my bases from being above ground castles to underground bunkers. Let's try to keep the posts clean so others can easily browse through the submissions.Īlas i have neither screen shot nor videos of my base but i can describe it easily enough. I'd prefer it if every posts one link to a video or one link to an album of images of their base. I don't want to have to dig too much and completely underground bases that avoid zombies all together are just boring (for me). I'm looking for some original designs that are more than the usual safe house design anything from purely strategic designs that exploit zombie AI limitations to practical living quarters with defense in mind. I'll probably work on the concept but I'm not really thrilled with what I've done so far. It works when you're not going in and out constantly. I was trying to avoid using doors and just using access tunnels with hatches. I tried making a cobblestone castle with a dual-layered perimeter wall but I had trouble tying the defenses in with ease of entering/exiting. Every time I search online I found the same garbage and most of it's from out dated versions of the game. I'd like to get this thread going with some creative base designs. I've gone with two different base designs ( Stilts w/ Defense Layers & Modular Stilt Base) most of the time and I'm getting bored with them. In preparation for a14 I've been contemplating the design of my next base.
